Polyaspartic & Polyurea Flake Garage Floors in Binghamton, NY
A polyaspartic flake garage floor is the coating we recommend for almost every garage in Binghamton and the Southern Tier. Starkrete Stamped Coatings has been in business since 2004, making us one of the longest-running coating contractors in the Southern Tier. We turn stained, cracked or peeling concrete into a clean, colorful floor that stands up to road salt, snowmelt and hot tires.
You'll see polyaspartic and polyurea used interchangeably, and that's fine. Polyaspartic is a type of polyurea, an aliphatic polyurea. It's just as tough as polyurea, with two big extras: it won't yellow in sunlight, and it gives the installer more working time to do the job right.
Why homeowners choose polyaspartic flake floors
-
Done in a day. A typical 2-car garage is finished in one day, and you can walk and drive on it the next day.
-
10-year written warranty.
-
UV stable. It won't amber or yellow when the door is open to the sun, unlike most epoxies.
-
Stands up to winter. It resists road salt, de-icers, oil and antifreeze, and wipes clean.
-
Tough and flexible. Polyurea chemistry handles impacts and hot tires.
-
Full Torginol flake broadcast hides small blemishes and adds texture underfoot.
-
Installed year-round, in all four seasons.

Is polyaspartic the same as polyurea?
Polyaspartic is a type of polyurea, called an aliphatic polyurea. It's just as tough, but it's UV stable and gives the installer more working time.
How long does it take, and when can I park?
A typical 2-car garage is done in one day. You can walk on it and drive on it the next day.
Will it yellow if my garage door is open a lot?
No. Polyaspartic is aliphatic, so it holds its color in sunlight.

Yes. Our flake floors come with a 10-year written warranty.
Can you coat over my old peeling epoxy?
We diamond-grind every floor and remove failing coatings so the new floor bonds to sound concrete.
Can you install in winter?
Yes. We install year-round, in all four seasons.
